Need Child Care

Family Services of Metro Orlando is dedicated to helping families in crisis. We work to provide resources and support designed to prevent having to place children in foster care. Contact the providers listed below if you require assistance locating or purchasing child care services.

Family Services assists nearly 10,000 children and their families each year through this network of community providers. Please dial 2-1-1 or visit The Heart of Florida United Way 2-1-1 Helpline for additional contacts and assistance.

Orange County Head Start
Orange County Head Start is committed to making sure that children are ready to learn and enter kindergarten. This program has received national, regional and local recognition for its outstanding services. Orange County Head Start has maintained National Association for the Education Young Children (NAYEC) Accreditation at designated centers. There are currently 1,536 children and families at 19 sites receiving Head Start services. The program also provides full-day child care services for 780 children, allowing families to maintain year-round employment.

The VPK program is FREE for all four-year-olds born on or before September 1 who reside in Florida. No registration fee. Provides services that focus on early literacy skills and preparing children for kindergarten.
