About Foster Care & Adoption
There are hundreds of children in central Florida in need of a permanent home and loving family. Many are unable to remain in the care of their birth parents due to abuse or neglect – but they have the potential to thrive in a nurturing environment.
Family Services of Metro Orlando (FSMO) is dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families through foster care and adoption. In order to succeed in this mission, we depend on foster and adoptive parents to care for the physical, emotional, educational, developmental and spiritual needs of children in a loving, family setting.
We are seeking individuals from all walks of life to open their hearts and homes to vulnerable youth – whether it is taking in a child for a long weekend, providing foster care for several months or providing a permanent home and family through adoption.
To meet the ongoing needs of our foster and adoptive children and families, we offer a variety of support services through our network of more than 40 community providers, including family counseling, training opportunities and support groups. We will help you every step of the way as you change the life of a child forever.
